Принцип золотого сечения лежит в основе множества окружающих нас  предметов. Дома мне удалось найти набор раковин для украшения интерьера, пластиковые карты, ювелирное изделие в виде ящерицы и альбом с репродукциями шедевров Леонардо да Винчи. На поиски было затрачено около 10 минут.

Принцип "золотого сечения" состоит в том, что отношение целого к большей части равно отношению большей части к меньшей (а+б/а=а/б). Вначале трудно это представить, но если это выразить примерно в процентном отношении (100%=68%+32%), то становится понятнее, хотя в процентном отношении результаты будут не всегда точно подходить к точному понятию золотого сечения.  
Пример такого сечения в архитектуре применяют в построении православных храмов. Для меня, визуально, это отношение длины алтарной части и остального помещения к длине всего храма.   Ещё Золотое сечение можно встретить в строении храма не один раз. Закону Золотого сечения подчинены главные вертикали храма, определяющие его силуэт: высота основания, равная высоте тонких колонок четверика, и высота барабана. Диаметр барабана относиться к его высоте также в Золотой пропорции. Эти пропорции видны с любых точек зрения. Если подойти к западному фасаду церкви, то ряд Золотого сечения можно продолжить: плечи относятся к диаметру барабана в Золотой пропорции. Пример - это храм Покрова Пресвятой Богородицы на реке Нерли. 
Этот пример, мне быстро удалось найти, так как работаю в храме и изучаю всё что относится к православию.
